We've been involved with all kinds of dogs from Cocker Spaniels to Labrador Retrievers as well as Shih Tzu's all our lives. We recently moved to Seattle to be closer to our children and have lived in various parts of the country including San Antonio, Texas and Roseville, California. Our son-in-law, Nathan, introduced us to Home Dog Training in 2000. Nathan was a Home Dog Trainer for over nine years and is now a successful attorney in Seattle. When first introduced to the training, we were very impressed on how easy dogs acquired new skills and gave up bad behaviors. Our ultimate goal at the time, which is consistent with many of our clients, was to have a well behaved dog.

We completed our training on The American Method of Dog Training, created by Jay Rapp, in Colorado Springs, and are both certified instructors. We just celebrated our 8th year with Home Dog Training! Our training method is very unique and uses voice corrections and positive reinforcement techniques, which have proven to be very successful and easy for dogs to comprehend. These methods, which differ from most other training methods in the industry, are eliminating unwanted pet behaviors. This is why many Veterinarians and clients seek this type of training.

Over the years, we have successfully trained various breeds of dogs, which include the following: Afghan Hound, Brittnay, German Shorthaired Pointer, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, English Cocker Spaniel, Springer Spaniel, Vizsla Weimaraner, Beagle, Dachshund, Greyhound, Akita, Boxer, Doberman Pinscher, Mini Pinscher, Great Dane, Pug, Mastiff, Newfoundland, Bichon, Maltese, Various Terriers, Chihuahua, Poodles, Japanese Chin, Rottweiler, Pekingese, Schnauzer, Pomeranian, German Shepherd, Collies, Shih Tzu, Dalmation, Bulldog, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Shar-pei, American Pit Bull as well as mixed breed dogs. Is your breed on this list?

Our gentle approach will teach you what you need to know and how to work with your pet in the comfort of your home. We look forward to answering any questions you may have and assisting you with your training needs.
